Therapeutic massages
Sports massage
Sports massage is an intensive, restorative treatment that addresses the entire body. It focuses on loosening stiff muscles, improving circulation, and promoting recovery after physical exertion. This massage is suitable for athletes of all levels—from recreational to professional—and helps keep the body supple, strong, and injury-free.
Unlike our Runners Recovery Massage, which was specifically developed based on our own experience as a runner and focuses on the leg muscles and running strain, our sports massage treats the entire body. We work on the back, legs, arms, and shoulders, depending on the areas most affected.
The techniques are firm and targeted, with special attention to muscle knots and tension. Sports massage is ideal as part of a workout routine or as a recovery session after intense athletic performance.
Runners Massage
The Runners Recovery Massage has been specially developed for runners and athletes who want to optimally care for their muscles — both before and after running.
Before running, the focus is on activating muscles, improving circulation, and preparing the body for exertion. After running, the focus is on recovery, removing lactic acid, relieving muscle pain, and loosening muscles.
The massage combines deep techniques with targeted stretches and pressure points. Special attention is paid to the legs, calves, hamstrings, and lower back – the areas most stressed by runners.
When booking, it is important to indicate whether the massage is intended before or after walking, so that the treatment can be fully tailored to the purpose at that moment.
Migraine massage
Migraine Massage is a soothing, therapeutic treatment that helps reduce tension and pressure in the head, neck, and shoulders. The massage focuses on areas where migraines and tension headaches often occur, using gentle pressure points and slow, flowing movements to calm the nervous system.
Work is done around the head, temples, neck and shoulders to improve blood flow and relieve tension.
The treatment is ideal for those who suffer from recurring headaches or migraines, and often provides noticeable relief during or after the session.
To obtain the best result, it is important to indicate when booking whether the complaint is currently active or whether it should be treated preventively.
Deep Tissue Massage
Deep Tissue Massage is a powerful massage that deeply penetrates the muscles and connective tissue. This treatment is designed to release persistent tension, knots, and adhesions that often arise from stress, overexertion, or poor posture.
The techniques are performed slowly and in a controlled manner with firm pressure, so that the deeper muscle layers are reached without overstimulating the body.
The massage improves blood circulation, promotes the recovery of stiff or tired muscles and helps the body to move more smoothly.
Compared to traditional Thai massage, Deep Tissue uses less stretching and more targeted pressure and deep muscle techniques.
Body balance massage
The Body Balance Massage is a holistic treatment that brings both body and mind into balance. This gentle, gradually increasing technique focuses not only on relieving physical tension but also on releasing emotional blockages that can build up in the body.
Gentle pressure, flowing movements, and attentive touch create space for relaxation, healing, and inner peace. Emotions can spontaneously flow during this massage—that's a natural part of the process.
It is important that the client does not suppress this, because allowing these emotions is precisely what gives the treatment its healing power.
The Body Balance Massage is intended for those who are open to a deeper recovery of body and mind.
Pregancy massage
The Pregnancy Massage is a relaxing and safe treatment specially designed to meet the needs of expectant mothers. It helps relieve tension in the back, neck, and legs, improves circulation, and supports the body during this special period of change.
At Sit Wat Pho, we use traditional, non-adjustable massage tables, so positioning is adapted according to the stage of pregnancy. When lying on the stomach becomes uncomfortable or not possible, the massage is performed on the side with supportive cushions.
We classify this as a therapeutic treatment, as it requires greater knowledge, experience, and specific techniques than a standard relaxation massage. Each movement is carefully adjusted to the client’s comfort and condition, demanding extra care and expertise.
The Pregnancy Massage lasts 60 minutes (€80) and offers a blend of relaxation, relief, and professional care — a meaningful support for both body and mind.
